The first sound in ngalan
Pronunciation
Step 1: Say singgg and hold only the last sound. Your tongue should be high in the back of your mouth.
Step 2: Keep that held ng sound going through your nose. If your nose lightly vibrates, you are close.
Step 3: Without adding nuh, open your mouth into ah: ng-ah.
Step 4: Say nga-lan slowly. If it comes out nuh-galan, reset with singgg again.
Permission slip: it will feel weird. English almost never starts words this way.
